Epigenetic Testing | Mitochondria, Methylation & Oxidative Stress

Epigenetic Panels

Epigenetic testing evaluates acquired biochemical factors that may interfere with methylation, mitochondrial function, cellular energy production, DNA protection, glutathione-dependent detoxification, and overall cellular resilience. These panels are designed to help identify problems involving mitochondrial stress, creatine demand, oxidative damage, toxic burden, mineral and pH imbalance, and impaired methylation pathways.

Rather than looking at methylation in isolation, epigenetic testing helps identify the metabolic pressures that may be contributing to undermethylation or preventing normal recovery. The goal is to protect mitochondrial function, support ATP production, maintain efficient methylation and SAM/SAH balance, reduce oxidative damage to DNA and cell membranes, and support glutathione and detoxification pathways.

Not sure where to start?
For a broad epigenetic assessment, consider Metabolomix+ or mitochondrial and oxidative-stress testing. If mood, behavioral, or neurotransmitter-related symptoms are the primary concern, start with a comprehensive Walsh biotype assessment and Genova methylation testing before moving into more focused epigenetic testing.
