Product Description
The Focused Male Hormone Assessment Panel provides a targeted evaluation of the major hormone systems that influence male vitality, libido, mood, energy, stress response, muscle maintenance, fertility signaling, and androgen balance.
Progesterone and 17-OH progesterone help assess steroid hormone pathway activity and adrenal precursor balance. Cortisol AM and DHEA-S provide insight into adrenal output and stress physiology. Estradiol is included because estrogen balance is important in men and can influence mood, weight, libido, breast tenderness, prostate-related concerns, and the functional effect of testosterone.
LH and FSH help show how strongly the pituitary gland is signaling the testes. These markers are useful for understanding whether low androgen activity is more consistent with reduced testicular production or reduced hormonal signaling from the brain. Prolactin is included because elevated prolactin can suppress testosterone function, libido, fertility, mood, and energy.
Total testosterone, free testosterone, and SHBG are evaluated together because total testosterone alone does not always reflect usable androgen activity. SHBG affects how much testosterone is bound versus freely available. DHT is included because it is a potent downstream androgen from testosterone and may be relevant to libido, prostate symptoms, hair-loss patterns, and androgen sensitivity.
Who This Panel Is For
This panel may be useful for men evaluating symptoms such as low libido, fatigue, low motivation, reduced muscle strength, mood changes, weight gain, sleep disruption, fertility concerns, gynecomastia, prostate-related symptoms, hair-loss concerns, or suspected androgen imbalance.
