Consultation and Biotype Report

When seeking an evaluation of a panel of tests ordered here, select this option. This Consultation and Biotpe Report includes a review of lab scores and questionnaire. Patients will receive a detailed 10 page report with supplements plan (adjusted for weight) and an explanation about the findings. Following the Report patients will have an opportunity to discuss the report with Dr Epstein to answer any questions or concerns.

The most complete lab panel, per the teachings of Dr William Walsh PhD, is the Comprehensive Biotype Panel. Any panel ordered here may be evaluated by selecting this Consultation option.

For persons who prefer to save on the cost of testing and Consultation, a smaller panel may be ordered with this consultation selected for evaluation. If you already have lab tests based on Walsh's recommended labs, the Consultation option to select is here. The price is a bit higher, due to the fact that data must be manually entered and often it is necessary to answer additional questions to get lab testing and report accurate.

Lower priced consultations are available. For a no report "10 minute phone discussion" regarding a similar Biotype Panel, select this option for $199. For a brief email reply to a lab report, select this option for $99.

(Second Opinion Physician does not provide diagnosis or codes for insurance billing prior to lab testing. So, if your primary doctor or insurance company will reimburse the diagnosing doctor or lab directly this may be a best option. Please keep in mind that for most accurate reporting, the labs listed on the panel should be provided. For most accurate reporting, histamine must be “whole blood” and zinc must be “plasma.” Our preferred lab is Lab Corp.)

In all cases, patients will be asked to complete a Telemedicine Consent Form and Questionnaire. Links and further instructions will also be sent by email once the Consultation has been ordered.

Physician Consultation Options for Walsh Protocol

Dr David Epstein, D.O. is a licensed osteopathic physician, with an background in functional medicine.  He has attended numerous Walsh Institute workshops and studied the Walsh Approach to treating mood and behavior disorders by applying the principals of oxidative stress, epigenetics and nutrients status and the role they plan in neurotransmitter activity.  Based on the findings of the lab results and questionnaire, a “Biotype Report” will be provided  What is my Depression Biotype?
