Check In on Your Biotype — Updated Testing & Consultation Offers
Our protocol has moved beyond histamine‑only screening. If it's been 6+ months since your last visit, a brief check‑in can confirm progress and fine‑tune your plan. Returning patients can choose 20% off LabCorp tests or 20% off a full consultation with report (Doctor’s Data panels not discounted).
This page outlines two questionnaire paths and explains Dr. Epstein’s unique assessment of toxic overload and creatine demand.
About the Follow‑Up Questionnaire & What’s Unique Here
Unlike generic check‑ins, this questionnaire feeds into a protocol unique to Dr. Epstein’s practice. We look beyond histamine to identify why methylation may stall:
- Toxic overload patterns that elevate SAH and block methylation even when histamine looks normal.
- High creatine demand (a major methyl sink) that can deplete SAM and make SAMe/methionine support underperform without addressing the sink.
- Low zinc, systemic acidity, or medication effects that shift pathway efficiency.
Your responses help determine whether to prioritize mineral repletion, methylation relief (lowering SAH), digestive or detox support, or targeted methyl donors — and whether retesting is warranted.
Choose Your Path
A) Consultation + Doctor’s Data Methylation Panel
Best if you want a comprehensive review and are open to DD methylation testing (SAM/SAH/methionine). You’ll use the Consult/DD Questionnaire, designed to capture signals of toxic load and creatine demand alongside symptom change.
Doctor’s Data panels are not discounted; the consultation is.
B) Copper Overload & Protocol Success Check
Best if you only need a status update on mineral balance and protocol effectiveness. You’ll use the Copper/Success Questionnaire and can order retesting through LabCorp at 20% off (Vitamin D, Copper/Zinc/Ceruloplasmin, CBC, Metabolic Panel).
What You’ll Tell Us
Protocol History & Results
- How closely you followed the protocol (compliance), what you continue to take, and why you stopped anything.
- Effectiveness of supplements; where results were inadequate or inconsistent.
- Intolerance or side effects (GI, agitation, headaches, etc.).
Biotype Familiarity
- Do you recall your primary imbalance? (Low zinc, Low vitamin D, Elevated free copper, Undermethylation — elevated histamine, Overmethylation — low histamine, Pyroluria, Unsure.)
- Confidence level in identifying your biotype (quick self‑check scale).
Medications & Changes
- New medications started since your last visit; any dose changes.
- Reductions/discontinuations since starting the protocol.
Current Status
- Mood, motivation, anxiety/irritability, focus, sleep, energy, and exercise tolerance (1–5 scale).
- Stress resilience and overall trajectory since last visit.
These details help determine whether to retest, adjust supplements, or focus on obstacles like SAH elevation or creatine‑related drain.
Offers & Next Steps
- Choose your questionnaire path (Consult/DD or Copper/Success).
- Submit your responses (5 minutes).
- We’ll reply with a brief summary and links to redeem your discount within 30 days.
All responses are confidential and reviewed personally by Dr. David Epstein, D.O.
